Onsite Project Manager

Role Overview

The Onsite Project Manager leads all efforts related to project execution from receipt of the customer order through to final handover to both the client and internal service teams. Success is measured by financial performance, client satisfaction, timely delivery, budget adherence, and fulfillment of agreed project functionality. The role requires compliance with Dematic’s standard operating procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the project including safety, scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk/opportunity management, communications, resource allocation, coordination with third parties, and system integrations to meet stakeholder objectives.
• Take ownership of project profitability by actively monitoring and controlling financial indicators within approved budgets.
• Provide prompt and accurate project reporting, ensure timely collection of revenues and effective cash flow management.
• Manage project expansions and extensions to benefit both the customer and Dematic.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships by actively reflecting their feedback and taking appropriate actions.
• Offer customer decisions and recommendations grounded in deep understanding of their business and operational context.
• Ensure engagement and performance monitoring of subcontractors with clear expectations.
• Plan staffing and resource needs effectively, clearly defining roles and responsibilities.
• Maintain open, regular, and efficient communication between all project team members.
• Assess and financially evaluate project risks and impacts including economic factors, organizational issues, employee competencies, contracts, acceptance criteria, and change requests.
• Set and communicate project goals to cost account managers, and ensure they provide regular status updates.
• Deliver accurate and succinct feedback regarding completed project phases.
• Encourage innovation, continuous improvement, risk identification, and occupational health and safety management.

Work, Health, Safety & Environment (WHS&E) Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and health by maintaining safe work areas and equipment under control, minimizing environmental impacts, and preventing pollution.
• Identify, assess, control, and report hazards and incidents following Dematic’s protocols.
• Provide necessary instruction, training, supervision, and information to workers, contractors, partners, and others for safe task execution.
