Position Overview
The Ocean Import Agent is responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate movement of freight and information within the Ocean Import Department while maintaining high-quality customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage ocean import freight operations with proficiency in industry processes.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Adhere to procedural and productivity standards within the department.
- Handle accounting tasks including accurate and timely billing.
- Engage in continuous self-development and operational improvements.
- Communicate effectively with overseas contacts, ensuring timely responses to both internal and external inquiries.
- Escalate operational issues to management as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Preferably possess a Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of six months experience in ocean import operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in English is essential.
Reporting Structure
This role reports to the Ocean Import Lead Agent, Supervisor, and Manager.
