Job Overview

The Night Supervisor is tasked with ensuring the hotel operates efficiently during nighttime hours, prioritizing exceptional customer service and safety. This role involves overseeing guest interactions, managing health and safety protocols including fire and security checks, and coordinating with the night porter and food & beverage services to maintain high standards throughout the night shift.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the smooth operation of the hotel during the night, maintaining top-tier guest service.
  • Handle guest relations effectively to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee overall health and safety measures at night, including conducting fire walks, security inspections, and administering first aid when required.
  • Conduct front office duties like running night audit reports and facilitating guest check-in and check-out processes.
  • Supervise and direct the night porter’s activities.
  • Support food and beverage services during night hours.
  • Ensure meeting rooms are prepared to the correct standards.
  • Contribute actively to the efficient nightly operations of the hotel.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Prior experience working night shifts or at hotel reception is essential.
  • Minimum of two years in a guest-facing or customer service role.
  • Proficient computer skills; familiarity with Opera Property Management System is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to delegate and oversee team members effectively.
  • Friendly, approachable demeanor in interactions with guests and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated and capable of both independent and collaborative working styles.
