Job description
Position Overview
Carden Park Hotel seeks a dedicated Night Porter to join our overnight team working 32 to 40 hours weekly across 4 to 5 nights, typically from 10:30pm to 7am, including weekends. This role involves welcoming guests, ensuring their comfort and safety during overnight hours, and maintaining the hotel’s highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding guest service throughout the night, anticipating and addressing needs professionally and courteously.
- Efficiently manage guest check-in and check-out during night hours.
- Promptly handle room service requests with politeness.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of public areas.
- Conduct regular safety and security checks across the resort to ensure a secure environment.
- Collaborate with other departments as needed to support hotel operations overnight.
- Respond effectively to guest inquiries and requests, enhancing their experience.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in hospitality, hotel, or customer service settings preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Positive, adaptable mindset with a proactive approach.
- Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
- Great attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Confident working independently and assuming responsibility during night shifts.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional service and maintaining high standards.
- A full clean driving license is desirable due to the hotel’s rural location, and applicants should have reliable transport.
