Job Overview
You will support the daily operations of the Front Office, including lobby and security tasks, ensuring cleanliness and brand standards throughout public areas. Your role involves handling guest luggage, securing vehicles, assisting with guest arrivals and departures, and delivering in-room dining promptly.
Key Duties
- Ensure public areas on the 2nd floor are clean and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Assist guests with luggage and car access, exercising caution when parking vehicles, following established procedures.
- Maintain safety and security for guests and their belongings during their stay.
- Prepare and deliver in-room dining orders efficiently, and keep the kitchen area tidy after service.
- Provide barista coffee service and support Food & Beverage during breakfast setup.
- Urgently deliver messages and document all guest property in storage accurately.
- Collaborate with Maintenance to swiftly address requests prioritizing guest needs.
- Maintain impeccable presentation of guest service areas including the desk, foyer, and forecourt.
- Keep the Night Manager updated about ongoing guest services.
- Perform scheduled cleaning tasks and ensure corridors remain free of obstructions.
- Assist with rollaway beds, cots, and serve alcohol as required during shifts.
- Fulfill additional reasonable requests as assigned by managers.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of six months experience in a similar position, preferably within a five-star hotel setting.
- Valid clean full New Zealand driver's license.
- Current LCQ (Liquor Control Qualification) and First Aid certifications.
- Professional personal presentation and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Capable of training and developing colleagues.
- Up-to-date with trends in service, products, and presentation within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Resilient with effective stress management techniques.
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as role necessitates.
- Committed to ongoing professional development within the organization.
