Role Overview

We seek an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie to contribute significantly within our kitchen. This full-time role involves managing your specific kitchen brigade area, ensuring smooth operational flow, and adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all tasks within your designated kitchen section.
  • Facilitate seamless interaction with other areas of the kitchen for efficient operations.
  • Uphold exemplary hygiene practices consistent with HACCP guidelines.
  • Prepare dishes aligned with menu specifications and maintain high-quality presentation.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to junior culinary staff, including apprentices and commis chefs.
  • Contribute to menu planning and implement innovative culinary concepts.
  • Engage in live cooking demonstrations and connect with guests as needed.
  • Work closely with sous chef and head chef to optimize kitchen productivity.
  • Monitor inventory, minimize food waste, and manage kitchen supplies effectively.
  • Adapt swiftly to dynamic priorities during peak meal services.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Completion of culinary education or apprenticeship.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Proven excellence in food preparation and visual presentation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and sanitary measures.
  • Enthusiasm for global cuisines and introducing new culinary ideas.
  • Experience with live cooking and engaging directly with guests.
  • Strong organisational capabilities and adept in time management.
  • Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, pressure-intensive setting.
  • Effective leadership and clear communication skills.
  • Creative mindset eager to participate in menu development.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical endurance for prolonged standing and lifting heavy equipment where necessary.
