Role Summary

The Network Manager oversees and coordinates day-to-day activities across the Sorting Center, Reverse Logistics, and Transport segments within Jumia's Supply Chain. Reporting to the Head of Logistics, this role is accountable for managing inventory movement, optimizing transport expenses, monitoring queue management, and directing logistics personnel to ensure prompt parcel dispatch and adherence to service level agreements end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise multi-location daily operations, ensuring FIFO compliance to expedite deliveries.
• Monitor operational backlogs, uphold quality standards, and synchronize delivery capacities with dispatch agents and third-party logistics partners.
• Strategize to improve outbound item distribution and shipping routes to curtail transport costs per package.
• Lead, train, and administrate teams of Sorting Center and Transportation Managers while overseeing site security.
• Drive process enhancement initiatives, deploy scalable operational procedures, and develop performance dashboards.
• Engage in field activities involving travel to logistics hubs and coordinate with internal departments and external collaborators.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines from an accredited university.
• Brings at least five years of advancing experience within logistics, manufacturing, production, or distribution sectors.
• Exemplifies strong capabilities in managing extensive and dispersed teams, project management expertise, and solid interpersonal skills.
• Displays technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace applications.
• Adopts a structured, methodical, and outcome-focused approach combined with adaptability to evolving processes.
