Role Purpose

The Network Inventory Planner is instrumental in optimizing inventory levels across multiple sites: branch networks, National Distribution Centre, and regional hubs. The role's goal is to ensure optimal stock availability in the right locations at correct times, while managing working capital efficiently. Success is achieved through detailed data analysis, insightful reporting, and close collaboration with various internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate SKU performance, demand fluctuations, and supply lead times to determine appropriate stock levels.
• Maintain Min/Max inventory settings and Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) parameters across all branches and centres.
• Coordinate stock redistribution between branches to enhance availability and minimize capital tied up.
• Oversee pack-size guidelines and identify opportunities for SKU rationalization.
• Monitor inventory health metrics such as availability, fill rates, turnover, coverage weeks, and excess or obsolete stock.
• Track inventory investment and suggest improvement strategies to boost return on investment (ROI).
• Extract and analyze data from ERP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and broader business datasets; develop Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with branch personnel, inventory, and distribution teams to address inquiries and lead supply-chain enhancement projects.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in inventory planning, supply chain management, demand planning, or replenishment processes.
• Strong analytical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
• Hands-on experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Familiarity with ERP and inventory management software systems.
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovative thinking.
