Job Overview

The Network Engineer will be responsible for the design, deployment, management, and security of the company’s network infrastructure across various sites and projects within Saudi Arabia. The role ensures reliable, scalable, and secure network connectivity for corporate offices, remote branches, and joint venture environments. Coordination with IT operations, cybersecurity teams, and external partners is essential to maintaining high network performance and compliance with national cybersecurity requirements.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and administer LAN, WAN, MPLS, VPN, and wireless networks across multiple locations.
• Implement network segmentation, quality of service policies, and redundancy solutions such as HSRP and VRRP.
• Conduct ongoing network performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning activities.
• Maintain comprehensive network documentation including topology diagrams, IP addressing schemes, and configuration records.
• Enforce network security controls including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and access control lists.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity personnel to ensure alignment with NCA, ISO 27001, and NIST standards.
• Perform root cause analyses to minimize network downtime.
• Liaise with ISPs and vendors for network installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Partner with external vendors and integrators to enhance network infrastructure capabilities.
• Manage hardware and software upgrades with attention to compatibility and operational continuity.
• Assist in developing, testing, and executing network-related disaster recovery plans.
• Support hybrid connectivity solutions involving Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Research emerging network technologies and recommend adoption as appropriate.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to optimize costs and improve network performance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Five to seven years of experience in network engineering within medium to large enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in LAN, WAN, MPLS, VPN, and wireless network technologies.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise network security, firewall management, and national cybersecurity compliance frameworks (NCA).
• Experience with cloud network infrastructure, especially Azure and AWS, is highly advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Mandatory Cisco CCNA certification; CCNP preferred.
• Additional certifications like Network+, HCIA or cybersecurity certificates such as Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE are considered beneficial.
