Job Overview
The Microsoft Copilot Subject Matter Expert (SME) will lead the design, engineering, configuration, and ongoing management of Copilot functionalities within Microsoft 365 and across the broader Microsoft ecosystem. This role emphasizes secure adoption, creation and governance of agent solutions, and seamless integration of Copilot with enterprise data and workflows to enhance productivity across all HSBC operational regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and govern Copilot and agent solutions using Copilot Studio, including designing prompts, establishing tool grounding, and managing publishing controls.
- Create automation and improve workflows leveraging Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse to support Copilot implementations.
- Integrate Copilot and related agents with enterprise data and services through Microsoft Graph API, ensuring proper authentication, permissions, and data access.
- Monitor adoption and measure impact with tools like Work IQ alongside other telemetry data, collaborating with stakeholders to refine agent solutions, governance, and change processes.
- Establish enterprise-level guardrails for Copilot and agents including access control, content grounding limits, and secure publishing or retirement protocols.
- Conduct testing and evaluations on Copilot prompts and agent developments covering functionality, safety, and regression, addressing issues raised via telemetry and user feedback.
- Collaborate with data and platform teams to align agent scenarios with trusted data sources such as Microsoft Fabric for accurate, discoverable, and securely permissioned information.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience delivering Copilot or agent solutions in large enterprises, emphasizing security, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
- Hands-on expertise with Copilot Studio in crafting, testing, and managing agent features including connectors, actions, and knowledge bases.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform components to orchestrate comprehensive Copilot-driven processes.
- Experience using Microsoft Graph API to integrate identity services, email, calendar, Teams, and SharePoint or OneDrive functionalities into Copilot workflows.
- Ability to define performance indicators and utilize analytics tools like Work IQ to demonstrate adoption, productivity gains, and control effectiveness.
- Working familiarity with Microsoft Fabric for data sourcing, semantic modeling, and supporting reporting requirements for Copilot initiatives.
- Understanding of prompt engineering techniques, grounding methods, and enterprise guardrail requirements including DLP and information protection.
- Ability to collaborate respectfully with multicultural teams across global locations.
