About the Role
Join a community-focused, locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store to support the delivery of health, beauty, and convenience services. This position centers on customer engagement and efficient merchandising practices.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Organize backroom inventory while adhering to Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) protocols.
- Utilize Portable Data Terminal (PDT) and Merchandise Management System (MMS) for daily operational tasks.
- Manage product Exit Strategy and Returns as instructed.
- Maintain expertise over product inventory, placement, and expiry dates within assigned sections.
- Ensure store standards related to image and retail trends are upheld.
- Create consumer-focused, easily accessible product displays.
- Receive and process merchandise following store receiving guidelines and maintain neat backroom organization.
- Complete appropriate documentation for goods receipt and returns.
- Assist store leadership in maintaining quality and store standards in the front and back store areas.
- Present a professional appearance consistent with uniform policies and actively assist customers in the aisles.
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations, store standards, and loss prevention policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Candidate Qualifications and Experience
- Good planning, judgement, and decision-making skills.
- Organizational skills marked by efficiency and neatness.
- Ability to adapt to changing retail floor conditions.
- If handling cash responsibilities, maintain accuracy and efficiency in transactions.
- Basic computer knowledge and cash register operation skills.
- Strong organizational abilities including record-keeping.
- Detail-oriented mindset and self-driven work ethic.
- Capable of working independently and motivated to take initiative.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Flexible scheduling availability, including evening and weekend shifts.
- Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds and to safely use ladders.

Compensation
The hourly rate ranges from $17.60 to $20.85, dependent on experience, expertise, and region. This opening is for an existing position. The recruitment process incorporates artificial intelligence tools for evaluation.
