Position Overview

This role is crucial in ensuring adherence to receiving and merchandising protocols, supervising associates to work efficiently as a team, and delivering outstanding customer service. Maintaining store organization and cleanliness supports a positive shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain excellent experiences for internal and external customers.
  • Foster a workplace culture grounded in honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Manage incoming truck deliveries to prioritize merchandise flow to the sales floor.
  • Train and guide associates on merchandising and processing procedures.
  • Verify items are correctly tagged, arranged, secured, and coded.
  • Coordinate with other store coordinators to streamline merchandise placement.
  • Oversee task completion based on store priorities and offer guidance as needed.
  • Monitor team productivity and provide coaching when necessary.
  • Organize and manage back stock for simplified restocking.
  • Maintain merchandising philosophies and signage standards consistently.
  • Ensure backroom areas meet organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards.
  • Comply with recycling policies and hazardous waste programs as applicable.
  • Communicate clearly with management and staff regarding priorities and progress updates.
  • Provide and receive feedback and recognition to foster development.
  • Collaborate with management on associate training to improve performance.
  • Adhere strictly to labor laws, company policies, and procedures.
  • Promote company credit and loyalty programs.
  • Support store objectives to reduce shrinkage through active participation.
  • Maintain safety protocols to provide a secure environment.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Candidate Profile

  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with keen organizational ability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Adaptability to changing directions and unexpected situations.
  • Effective team collaboration skills.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy loads with or without accommodations.
  • Experience in training team members.
  • Minimum of 1 year retail experience with at least 6 months in a leadership role.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting wage is between $14.00 and $14.50 per hour, dependent on experience and skills.
