Role Overview

The Key Carrier position is an advanced role extending the responsibilities of the Coordinator. Depending on store needs, the Key Carrier alternates between Coordinator duties and stepping into a leadership position to oversee overall store operations. Open availability, including nights and weekends, is required, with a strong emphasis on delivering outstanding customer service.

Primary Responsibilities

• Foster positive experiences for both customers and internal team members.
• Uphold a culture of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality throughout store operations.
• Assume Manager on Duty responsibilities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Oversee that associates perform assigned tasks aligned with store plans and adjust priorities as necessary.
• Resolve immediate customer service challenges and provide coaching to associates.
• Apply discretion in customer service policies to effectively satisfy customer needs.
• Maintain accurate associate scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage and optimal customer service.
• Confirm adherence to all operational procedures by associates.
• Ensure proper execution of opening and closing store protocols per company standards.
• Communicate clearly with management and associates on goals, priorities, and progress updates.
• Deliver and receive recognition and constructive feedback to promote team development.
• Coach, recognize, and support associates to improve effectiveness and productivity.
• Collaborate with management to identify and fulfill associate training requirements.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Encourage credit and loyalty program participation among customers.
• Support initiatives aimed at reducing inventory shrinkage.
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment through safety awareness.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

• Availability for flexible scheduling including nights and weekends.
• Strong teamwork abilities, effectively collaborating with peers and supervisors.
• Adaptability to unexpected changes and situational demands.
• Familiarity with company-standard software, systems, and procedures.
• Understanding of merchandise flow within retail stores.
• Demonstrated problem-solving aptitude.
• Proficiency in coaching, delegating, and managing multiple tasks and personnel.
• Ability to respond promptly and appropriately in challenging situations.
• Capability to multitask efficiently.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Minimum of one year retail experience coupled with at least six months leadership experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting wage ranges from $16.00 to $16.50 per hour, influenced by skills, qualifications, and prior experience.
