Role Overview

The Key Carrier position serves as an advanced role beyond the Coordinator duties and alternates between supporting the store as a Coordinator and stepping into leadership as a Key Carrier to uphold store operations. This role demands flexible availability, including nights and weekends, and exemplifies excellent customer service standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver a positive experience for both internal team members and external customers.
• Uphold a culture centered on honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Assume Manager on Duty responsibilities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Lead store personnel in completing tasks aligned with the store’s operational plan, effectively prioritizing activities.
• Address immediate customer service concerns and provide coaching aimed at associate improvement.
• Apply discretion in customer service policies to meet customer needs satisfactorily.
• Maintain accurate coverage of associates in service areas to ensure excellent customer experiences.
• Ensure compliance with all operational protocols and procedures.
• Manage opening and closing processes in accordance with company standards.
• Communicate effectively with managers and team members regarding priorities and provide regular updates.
• Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback professionally.
• Coach and provide feedback to associates to foster skill development.
• Collaborate with management on identifying associate training needs for better performance.
• Ensure observance of labor laws and company policies.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs to customers.
• Support store shrink reduction objectives and initiatives.
• Advocate safety awareness and contribute to a secure working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

• Familiarity with company software, systems, and standard procedures.
• Understanding of merchandise flow in retail environments.
• Proven ability to solve problems efficiently.
• Skills in coaching, delegating, and managing multiple tasks and people simultaneously.
• Capable of making quick decisions in challenging scenarios.
• Effective multitasker with excellent communication and organizational abilities, paying close attention to detail.
• Minimum of one year of retail experience with at least six months in a leadership role.

Compensation and Location

This position is based in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at Marshalls Store #1301, located at 737 N. Westwood Blvd.

The starting hourly wage ranges from $17.00 to $17.50, determined by the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
