Medical Representative

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Medical Representative will be responsible for regularly visiting assigned counters following the designated route plan to manage product orders, supply, and collections effectively.

• Plan daily activities including Personal Order Booking (POB), product supply, collection, outstanding payment control, and management of short expiry stock according to operating procedures.
• Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of products as per the route schedule or sooner where possible.
• Maintain accurate records of order bookings, supplies, collections, outstanding payments, and liquidation of short expiry stock.
• Collect outstanding payments within 60 days of supplying products to counters.
• Conduct quarterly physical audits at all active counters (months: April, July, September, December).
• Manage inventory by replacing short expiry products with long expiry items at slower moving counters.
• Transfer short expiry products to the top 5 fastest moving counters or to other territories/headquarters if quantities are large.
• Ensure that no short expiry products with less than six months remaining are present at any counter and strive for zero product expiry at counters.
• Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent prescription rejections while avoiding excess inventory.
• Meet monthly supply and collection targets.
• Convert irregular counters into regular customers.
• Gather market intelligence regarding slow moving, stagnant, and fast moving products.
• Identify and acquire new counters for product supply.
• Provide insights on competitors' brands and companies replacing our products.
• Gather market intelligence to facilitate converting doctors from regular to special accounts.
• Perform monthly or as-needed checks on closing stock at chemist counters.

Compensation

Monthly remuneration ranges between INR 18,000 and INR 25,000.
