Role Summary
The Sales Development Representative plays a crucial role in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities while spotting upselling potential. This role is based in a supportive, goal-oriented office environment that offers comprehensive training.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate outgoing calls to business clients to understand their telecommunications and connectivity needs.
- Identify and nurture promising sales leads, driving them from initial contact through to transaction closure.
- Listen attentively to client challenges, propose appropriate solutions, and help guide their purchasing decisions.
- Utilize established sales strategies to negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery, ensuring target revenues and profits are met.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to promote account expansion, including cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Keep CRM records (using Salesforce) current and ensure compliance with Ofcom regulations and internal policies.
Candidate Profile
- Self-motivated individual with a high-energy approach and a strong drive to surpass sales goals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional telephone presence.
- Positive attitude with resilience to overcome obstacles and maintain focus on objectives.
- Customer-oriented mindset with meticulous attention to detail in data tracking and administration.
- Comfortable working with standard computing platforms and Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Previous experience in telesales, customer service, or outbound calling is advantageous, but a willingness to learn and a positive attitude are paramount.
