Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for hands-on roles in our high-quality manufacturing facility based in Burnfoot, County Donegal, Ireland. Our expanding operations require skilled professionals who excel in assembling electrical switchgear and electromechanical systems while maintaining a commitment to quality, safety, and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly and fitting tasks involving electrical switchgear and electromechanical equipment.
• Work accurately from engineering drawings, manuals, and other technical specifications.
• Build, fit, and assemble components for both new production and repeat orders.
• Maintain excellent workmanship standards and ensure quality throughout the assembly process.
• Identify and report any defective or non-compliant components promptly.
• Complete material take-offs (MTOs) and assist with ordering materials required for assigned projects.
• Support prototype construction and development work.
• Keep the workplace clean, safe, and organized at all times.
• Work flexibly, including overtime and supporting site activities as needed.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Proven hands-on experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Assembler in an engineering or manufacturing setting.
• Competence in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and detailed specifications.
• Skilled in using engineering hand tools and workshop machinery such as punches, saws, benders, and torque tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong focus on quality assurance and workplace safety.
• Experience in manufacturing electrical switchgear or similar products.
• Field service or on-site installation experience is preferable.
• Understanding of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
