Role Overview

Join Linesight as a Mechanical Estimator and collaborate with diverse, experienced teams while advancing your industry expertise and estimation capabilities. You'll engage in impactful projects, interact with seasoned professionals, and be encouraged to take on more responsibility as you grow your career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing estimation plans and coordinate estimate-related data with project staff.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project estimates focused on mechanical scopes.
  • Compile and update estimate documents such as Basis of Estimate and related cost data.
  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and documentation to determine scope, quantities, and costs.
  • Support risk assessment in estimates and advise on cost contingency measures.
  • Gather and update current local labor, material, and equipment cost rates for estimation use.
  • Participate in value engineering to identify cost-saving options during estimation.
  • Collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Pursue continual learning to enhance your understanding of construction costs, market trends, and estimating methods.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Background as an Estimator, preferably in mechanical or construction industries.
  • Experience with mechanical estimating, quantity takeoffs, pricing, or cost planning.
  • Familiarity with estimation software like Sage Timberline, InEight, CostX, or equivalents.
  • Relevant academic credentials such as a degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in construction, engineering, or related fields.
  • Desire to grow professionally within construction estimation and cost control.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Capability to cultivate collaborative and trust-based relationships with team members and clients.

Interview and Compensation Details

Interviews may be conducted in person or virtually, with video participation required. The salary range offered is $80,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skill set.
