An established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy based in Dublin is seeking a Junior to Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join their expanding Building Services team. The company handles projects spanning commercial, residential, healthcare, education, industrial, and data centre sectors. Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical building services systems, including HVAC, heating, ventilation, domestic water, and drainage.
• Conduct equipment sizing, system calculations, and technical evaluations.
• Prepare mechanical specifications, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Participate in projects from conceptual stage, detailed design, construction, to handover.
• Collaborate with BIM/Revit teams to produce coordinated designs.
• Ensure mechanical services integration with electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Attend coordination meetings with design teams and project stakeholders.
• Engage with clients, architects, contractors, and other consultants effectively.
• Review technical submissions and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Perform site inspections to monitor compliance of installations with designs.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and project handover processes.
• Assume increased responsibility in projects as experience grows.

Requirements and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• Between 1 to 5 years of experience in mechanical or building services engineering roles.
• Welcoming applications from junior and intermediate engineers.
• Consultancy background is a plus but not mandatory.
• Solid understanding of mechanical building services systems.
• Familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD is advantageous.
• Experience or knowledge of mechanical design software and calculation tools is beneficial.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Motivation to develop skills in a consultancy setting with a goal towards Chartered Engineer accreditation.
