Job Overview
The Material Data Specialist will be responsible for establishing and maintaining Material Master data across various RVS ERP systems including SAP and Oracle, as well as MES and PLM systems. This role involves acting as a central point of contact between IT and other functional teams to ensure accuracy and standardization of material master data.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update material master data and bills of materials while contributing to the standardization of material data at the RVS level.
- Manage and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and participate in change control boards such as CRB and CIB, including handling of legacy materials and procurement updates.
- Serve as the SAP key user and liaison between production, IT, and other departments.
- Drive optimization of production workflows through Lean principles to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Define and uphold RVS master data standards, templates, and dictionaries that support end-to-end supply chain management across platforms.
- Lead the global Plan for Every Part (PFEP) framework, standardizing parameters to facilitate dependable MRP execution and planning at all facilities.
- Collaborate with PLM Principal Engineers to align and maintain enterprise-wide data strategies and policies across PLM and ERP systems, managing cross-platform data stewardship by product line and market strategy.
- Authorize modifications to master data definitions used in standards, reporting, and system integrations while maintaining thorough change logs and impact analyses.
- Work with Process Engineers to ensure alignment of process standards and master data templates and develop comprehensive training resources for global and local users.
- Coordinate with global teams for Master Data Governance and Digital Process Excellence to set and apply consistent standards throughout digital systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related discipline is mandatory.
