Role Overview

The Software Engineer position is within the Program & Performance Management team of the Manufacturing Competence Center (MCC). The role primarily supports digitalization efforts in manufacturing, contributing under guidance from the Senior Software Engineer. The candidate will engage in creating, maintaining, and supporting software systems aligned with Industry 4.0 and digital transformation initiatives. Close collaboration with cross-functional teams will ensure delivery of reliable, user-focused technological solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) implementation for Industry 4.0, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and related projects.
• Participate in software development activities such as coding, testing, debugging, and upkeep for both new and existing software applications.
• Gather and document software requirements by converting operational and manufacturing necessities into technical specifications.
• Work together with manufacturing, cybersecurity, and IT teams to produce solutions that meet user needs and adhere to cybersecurity standards.
• Provide first-level on-site support for users involving Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
• Create and maintain technical documents, user manuals, and training materials for the operations personnel.
• Assist with DevOps and deployment tasks related to internally developed software.
• Help oversee on-premise application infrastructure by conducting basic monitoring, troubleshooting, and routine operational duties.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of two years' experience in full-stack software development, including both backend and frontend work.
• Experience within a manufacturing setting is highly advantageous.
• Proficient in full stack web development utilizing established frameworks.
• Strong grasp of software development principles along with expertise in at least one programming language.
• Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation tools such as UiPath is beneficial.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
• Preferred programming languages include but are not limited to PHP, C#, Python, and VBA.
• Experience working with enterprise dashboards and data visualization platforms like Power BI, Grafana, or Tableau.
• Self-motivated, capable of independent work, and exhibits a positive, service-focused attitude when supporting end users.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset.
• Open to learning new concepts and adaptable to evolving technologies.
