Role Summary

As Manager Network ULD, you will oversee the strategic management of our unit load device (ULD) stock, ensuring its full lifecycle aligns with operational demands, fleet expansion, and network growth. You will cultivate strong relationships with key senior internal and external stakeholders, facilitating the deployment of KPIs, visibility dashboards, and global ULD projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the adoption and implementation of technologies like BLE to digitize the ULD fleet, guaranteeing data accuracy, regulatory compliance with QCAA audits, and streamlining fleet visibility globally.
• Monitor industry innovations and benchmark market trends to identify and apply improvements within Qatar Airways’ ULD operations.
• Identify root causes of ULD damage and develop reporting frameworks to reduce incidents both at hub and outstations.
• Define operational conditions and handling standards for GHAs and suppliers; integrate these stipulations into contracts and official documentation to ensure compliance.
• Execute senior management’s strategies by spearheading projects to achieve targeted outcomes consistently.
• Maintain network-wide visibility of ULD needs using existing tools and establish new resources if necessary to guarantee timely ULD availability across stations.
• Prepare and manage the annual budget and forecasts for the ULD workshop and management division, covering consumables, leasing, and procurement.
• Collaborate closely with Qatar Airways Technical team to meet QCAA Part 145 standards for ULD repair shop operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least eight years of relevant professional experience.
• Extensive experience managing large-scale ULD fleets (multiple thousands of units) within a global airline.
• Proficient knowledge of ULD fleet planning.
• Proven ability to manage substantial teams dispersed over various geographic locations.
• Strong influence and leadership skills to steer senior management for optimal business decision-making.
