As the Team Lead for Fire and Life Safety, you will drive technical excellence, lead and nurture your team, and enhance commercial and client outcomes. You will provide clear direction, improve team capabilities, and ensure strong resource management across projects. Collaboration with project leaders and engineers across disciplines will be key to maintaining high technical standards and promoting continuous learning and knowledge sharing throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Fire and Life Safety engineering team, enhancing technical capabilities and guiding resource allocation on projects.
• Maintain and elevate technical quality through reviews and governance of complex projects.
• Foster a culture of learning and knowledge exchange to bolster expertise across the business.
• Drive business growth by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and delivering compelling client presentations.
• Build and sustain trusted client relationships and contribute to market development initiatives.
• Represent the Property and Buildings sector within leadership forums, aligning local and international fire engineering practices.

Requirements

• A tertiary qualification complemented by Chartered Engineer status.
• A minimum of ten years’ experience specializing in fire and life safety engineering.
• Proven leadership skills with a focus on coaching and developing teams.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate organizational objectives into actionable plans.
• Strong commercial awareness including effective project and financial management in professional services.
• Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities enabling clear dissemination of complex concepts to diverse audiences.
