Job description
Role Overview
The Manager in Course Approval within the Quality Management Division is a key contributor to upholding the standards and regulatory compliance of training courses accredited through the Training Grant System (TGS). This role involves rigorous course accreditation processes, quality assurance checks, system testing, and proactive engagement with both internal departments and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee course accreditation and quality management tasks within TGS, ensuring adherence to adult learning principles and SWDA funding requirements.
- Perform thorough reviews of course materials to validate compliance with established standards.
- Manage escalated enquiries and appeals from the public and training providers, investigating potential breaches of SWDA's Registered Training Providers Terms and Conditions.
- Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies to build and sustain productive partnerships with training providers, government agencies, and industry representatives.
- Act as the main point of contact between the agency and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Support testing and enhancement of the TGS platform to optimize operational processes.
- Contribute to divisional and organizational initiatives, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience, preferably in Continuing Education and Training (CET).
- Effective command of English in both speaking and writing.
- Knowledge or appreciation of adult education in Singapore is advantageous.
- Preferred qualifications include WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) or Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA).
- Strong analytical capabilities to assess and resolve complaints, feedback, and whistleblowing cases.
- Basic to intermediate skills in data management.
