Role Overview

The Manager of Digital Transformation will spearhead and oversee the digital transformation division by crafting and implementing the digital strategy and innovation framework of the company. This role partners closely with the Chief Information Digital Transformation Officer (CIDTO) and senior leadership to synchronize digital projects, establish key performance indicators for digital adoption, and cultivate an innovation-driven culture aimed at boosting operational excellence and aligning business processes strategically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a holistic digital transformation plan aligned with the overall business objectives and digital roadmap.
  • Lead cross-departmental digital initiatives to enhance automation, efficiency, and customer-focused solutions.
  • Collaborate with executive management and strategy teams to ensure digital undertakings support sustainable market competitiveness.
  • Work closely with business process optimization, IT/OT, and various departments to uncover and integrate digitization opportunities into everyday processes.
  • Establish and enforce methodologies, standards, and best practices like Agile and other digital transformation frameworks for project governance.
  • Prioritize digital initiatives ensuring alignment with company goals and resource optimization.
  • Encourage widespread adoption of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and Internet of Things (IoT) to foster organizational innovation.
  • Serve as a vital link between business units and IT/OT teams to guarantee smooth deployment of digital projects.
  • Utilize predictive analytics to evaluate and communicate the outcomes and forecasts related to digital initiatives.
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to integrate security-by-design approaches and meet data protection standards.
  • Engage with external collaborators including startups and vendors to co-develop innovative solutions and keep pace with industry trends.
  • Guide, mentor, and develop team members, setting clear goals, evaluating performance, and supporting professional growth.
  • Oversee budgeting and resource management for digital transformation projects to ensure financial prudence.
  • Represent the digital transformation segment in strategic forums, governance bodies, and interdepartmental collaborations.
  • Drive change management and training to boost digital knowledge and adoption company-wide.
  • Monitor key indicators such as initiative effectiveness, process cost savings, and employee competence to assess transformation success.
  • Provide strategic counsel to IT/OT roadmaps ensuring they align with digital transformation aims.
  • Support other divisions by offering expertise in digital tools and techniques to improve their performance.

Qualifications and Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree in disciplines like Industrial, Systems, Computer, or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology is required.
  • Holding a Master’s degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering is highly preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience within Oil and Gas or Seamless Steel Pipe sectors is desirable.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in digital transformation initiatives is necessary.
  • Proven background implementing business applications such as ERP, Human Capital Management, Payroll systems, and Manufacturing Execution Systems.
  • Experience developing digital business solutions across diverse company processes.
  • Deep familiarity with advanced digital technologies including AI, RPA, IoT, and cloud computing.
