Manager, Digital Safety and Policy

Job Overview

This position focuses on the intersection of technology, digital platforms, policy, and regulatory operations. The incumbent will join a team dedicated to tracking the evolution of technology and digital platforms, identifying potential risks, and crafting strategies to ensure that policies and regulations stay current and effective.

Core Responsibilities

• Continuously track emerging trends related to online safety and digital technology, with particular emphasis on child safety and new protective measures.
• Evaluate how digital platforms handle online safety risks and scrutinize the efficiency of their control systems and procedures.
• Create innovative, data-driven methodologies to evaluate compliance and the effectiveness of platform controls.
• Engage actively with industry participants on regulatory and operational challenges.
• Carry out thorough research and evaluations regarding new online safety risks and harmful content.
• Collaborate closely with teams across functions to implement policies and operational initiatives.
• Lead complex projects and workstreams from conception through to completion.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in technology, policy development, regulatory affairs, product or program management, or operations.
• A strong interest in technology and digital platforms, complemented by an ability to comprehend technical concepts.
• Excellent analytical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven experience in working with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Well-developed writing and project management capabilities.
• A proactive, curious mindset and the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with data analysis and statistics is a plus.
