About the Role
Deloitte is seeking a Manager to join its Conflicts team within the Quality and Risk group, based in Perth, Western Australia. This pivotal position involves safeguarding the firm by offering pragmatic and insightful risk-related guidance on managing conflicts of interest across diverse client engagements and commercial contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide the identification, evaluation, and management of conflicts of interest in complex client and commercial matters.
- Review conflict checks and analyze issues such as probity, exclusivity, and various contractual risk factors.
- Manage declarations of conflicts and facilitate the resolution of commercial and personal conflict issues.
- Collaborate with partners, senior leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance policies, processes, systems, and training related to conflict management.
- Mentor and educate junior team members and stakeholders on conflict of interest matters.
- Provide timely, confident advice to protect Deloitte's reputation and brand integrity.
Who You Are
- Possess between three to six years of professional experience in risk management, preferably within professional services, public accounting, or financial services sectors.
- Exhibit strong competency in interpreting and applying policies to real-world situations using sound judgment.
- Excel in stakeholder management and comfortably engage with individuals across various seniority levels.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate complex topics.
- Have a collaborative nature and a sincere eagerness to learn from others.
- Bring experience in enhancing processes, tools, or documentation within risk or compliance frameworks.
- Show the ability to troubleshoot problems, prioritize tasks effectively, and make decisions that uphold corporate interests.
- Experience in mentoring or developing junior staff is advantageous.
