Job Summary
KPMG Australia's Audit team is seeking an experienced Manager to deliver specialised, high-quality audit and assurance services essential for maintaining investor trust. This role involves leading intricate audit engagements, advising on complex accounting issues, and collaborating closely with partners and clients within Australia's largest audit practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee engagement management, audit delivery, client relationships, and business development activities.
- Utilize industry expertise to design and perform audit procedures ensuring sufficient and appropriate audit evidence supports financial opinions in line with professional and regulatory standards.
- Execute assurance assignments and maintain the highest standards of audit quality.
- Inspire and mentor team members fostering their development and growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prestigious audit clients to deliver quality assurance and reporting.
- Engage in career-enhancing opportunities with large public listed clients and within KPMG’s global network.
Candidate Profile
- Detail-oriented with proactive approach toward accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences, including clients and subject matter experts.
- Passionate about sharing audit insights and mentoring others.
- Proven success and experience managing large, complex group audits in sectors such as energy, supply chain logistics, retail, pharmaceuticals, or services.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills within audit teams.
- US-SOX accreditation considered advantageous.
