About the Role

We invite you to join ANZ's Financial Control team as an External Reporting Manager. This position plays a critical role in ensuring external reporting for ANZ is accurate, timely, and well-governed, reinforcing trust in our statutory, regulatory, and Group reports.

You will be involved in essential regulatory, statutory, and Group reporting processes for ANZ Bank New Zealand and ANZBGL New Zealand Branch. Collaborating with Finance and assurance stakeholders, you will deliver high-quality reporting outputs, manage queries, and support evolving regulatory and disclosure requirements.

Role Type: 12-month fixed term, full-time

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Execute regulatory, statutory, and Group reporting duties with an emphasis on governance, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Compile disclosure and reporting materials underpinned by detailed analysis, solid supporting documentation, and audit-ready evidence.
• Evaluate and integrate changes in regulatory and disclosure standards, ensuring controls are updated accordingly.
• Collaborate with Finance teams, external auditors, and assurance units to address inquiries and fulfill reporting commitments.
• Identify and implement improvements to simplify reporting processes, strengthen controls, and promote consistency across External Reporting.

Skills and Attributes You Bring

• Experience in financial, statutory, regulatory, or Group reporting environments.
• Strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to apply reporting requirements practically and properly.
• Excellent judgement, meticulous attention to detail, and capacity to meet tight deadlines with quality deliverables.
• Confident engagement with Finance stakeholders, external auditors, and regulatory or assurance contacts.
• A mindset focused on governance, risk management, control, and continuous enhancement of reporting integrity.
• Possession or pursuit of professional accounting qualifications such as CA, CPA, or equivalent.
