Job description
About the Role
CoreCivic is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker who is motivated by providing exceptional care within a secure institutional environment. The individual will be instrumental in upholding the integrity and safety of facility structures and systems to support public service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair the physical infrastructure to ensure the facility remains secure and safe.
- Conduct inspections, diagnose issues, and accomplish repairs on machinery and equipment.
- Install and service electrical components, including wiring and electronic parts of machinery.
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment according to established plans.
- Supervise and keep records of inmates or residents assigned under the Maintenance Department.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Hold a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent credential.
- Possess at least two years of experience in general maintenance or construction work.
- Completion of relevant technical or trade courses in maintenance or construction may substitute experience on a one-to-one year basis.
- Familiarity with building construction and operational building systems is desirable.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Minimum age of 18 years is mandatory.
