Maintenance Worker

About the Role

CoreCivic is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker who is motivated by providing exceptional care within a secure institutional environment. The individual will be instrumental in upholding the integrity and safety of facility structures and systems to support public service.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair the physical infrastructure to ensure the facility remains secure and safe.
• Conduct inspections, diagnose issues, and accomplish repairs on machinery and equipment.
• Install and service electrical components, including wiring and electronic parts of machinery.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment according to established plans.
• Supervise and keep records of inmates or residents assigned under the Maintenance Department.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Hold a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent credential.
• Possess at least two years of experience in general maintenance or construction work.
• Completion of relevant technical or trade courses in maintenance or construction may substitute experience on a one-to-one year basis.
• Familiarity with building construction and operational building systems is desirable.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Minimum age of 18 years is mandatory.

Compensation

The position offers an hourly wage of $22.84.
