About the Role
CoreCivic is seeking a Maintenance Worker committed to delivering high-quality care in a secure institutional environment. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing various building structures and systems within the facility, including electrical, plumbing, machinery, and grounds maintenance. Join a team focused on positively impacting the communities served.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair the facility’s physical structures to ensure safe and secure operations.
- Inspect, diagnose, and perform repairs on machines and equipment.
- Install and repair electrical systems, wiring, and electronic machinery components.
- Carry out preventive maintenance on equipment as per the maintenance schedule.
- Supervise and monitor inmates or residents assigned to the Maintenance Department.
Qualifications
- Possess a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least two years’ experience in general maintenance or construction.
- Additional technical or trade school coursework related to maintenance or construction can substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Preferred knowledge of building construction and building system operations.
- Valid driver's license is mandatory.
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
