About the Role
CoreCivic is seeking a Maintenance Worker passionate about delivering top-notch care within a secure institutional environment. This role involves the installation, upkeep, and repair of the facility's physical infrastructure and systems, including plumbing, electrical systems, machinery, vehicles, and grounds maintenance. Key Responsibilities
- Preserve and repair the facility's physical structure to ensure safe and secure operations.
- Diagnose and fix equipment and machinery issues effectively.
- Install or repair electrical wiring and electronic parts of machinery and equipment.
- Execute preventive maintenance on equipment following established maintenance schedules.
- Supervise and monitor inmates or residents assigned to the Maintenance Department appropriately.
Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certification is mandatory.
- At least two years' experience in general maintenance or construction.
- Relevant technical or trade school coursework in maintenance or construction may substitute for experience year-for-year.
- Familiarity with building construction and building system operations is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required for this position.
- Candidates must be 21 years of age or older.
