Maintenance Worker

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair building infrastructure and systems, including plumbing, electrical wiring, machinery, equipment, electronics, vehicles, and grounds.
• Ensure the facility's physical structure supports safe and secure operations through timely maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect machinery and equipment to diagnose issues and perform repairs as needed.
• Install and repair electrical devices, including wiring and electronic components of machinery or equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks for equipment following an established maintenance schedule.
• Supervise and monitor inmates or residents assigned to the Maintenance Department appropriately.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certification is mandatory.
• At least two years of experience in general maintenance or construction.
• Technical or trade school courses relevant to maintenance or construction may be accepted as a year-for-year substitution for required experience.
• Familiarity with building construction and operating building systems is preferred.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Additional Information
