Maintenance Worker

Overview

CoreCivic is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker who is committed to delivering top-quality service in a secure, institutional environment. This role involves installation, upkeep, and repair of the facility's structural components and systems, covering plumbing, electrical wiring, machinery, equipment, electronics, vehicles, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Preserve and repair the facility’s physical infrastructure to ensure safe and secure operational conditions.
• Conduct inspections, diagnose issues, and perform repairs on machinery and equipment.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus including wiring and electronic components on machinery and equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance routines in accordance with established maintenance schedules.
• Supervise and monitor inmates or residents assigned to the Maintenance Department, maintaining proper oversight and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification is required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in general maintenance or construction.
• Completion of technical or trade school courses related to maintenance or construction may substitute experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Preferred knowledge of building construction principles and operation of building systems.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Compensation & Additional Information
