Maintenance Worker

About the Role

CoreCivic seeks a dedicated Maintenance Worker who is passionate about delivering top-quality care within a secure institutional environment. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing the physical aspects of the facility, including building structures, plumbing, electrical systems, machinery, equipment, electronics, vehicles, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repairs on the physical facility to uphold safety and secure operations.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment as needed.
• Install and repair electrical components, wiring, and electronic parts of machinery or equipment.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks on equipment according to established schedules.
• Supervise and monitor inmates or residents assigned to the Maintenance Department to ensure proper conduct.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must possess a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent credential.
• At least two years of experience in general maintenance or construction work is mandatory.
• Completion of relevant technical or trade school courses in maintenance or construction can substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Familiarity with building construction methods and operational building systems is desirable.
• Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Additional Information
