Maintenance Worker

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Upkeep and repair of the physical structure of the facility, ensuring safety and security standards are met.
• Inspecting, diagnosing, and remedying mechanical and equipment issues.
• Installing and fixing electrical components including wiring and electronic parts of machinery.
• Conducting preventative maintenance on machinery following established maintenance schedules.
• Overseeing and monitoring inmates/residents assigned to the Maintenance Department for proper supervision.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Completion of High School diploma, GED, or an equivalent certification.
• A minimum of two years experience in general maintenance or construction work.
• Substitutions of required experience with technical or trade school courses in maintenance or construction on a year-for-year basis accepted.
• Preferred knowledge includes building construction and systems operations.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Compensation and Additional Information
