About the Role
CoreCivic is seeking a committed Maintenance Worker passionate about delivering exceptional service within a secure institutional environment. Employees embrace professionalism and a dedication to serving communities effectively.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Upkeep and repair of the physical structure of the facility, ensuring safety and security standards are met.
- Inspecting, diagnosing, and remedying mechanical and equipment issues.
- Installing and fixing electrical components including wiring and electronic parts of machinery.
- Conducting preventative maintenance on machinery following established maintenance schedules.
- Overseeing and monitoring inmates/residents assigned to the Maintenance Department for proper supervision.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completion of High School diploma, GED, or an equivalent certification.
- A minimum of two years experience in general maintenance or construction work.
- Substitutions of required experience with technical or trade school courses in maintenance or construction on a year-for-year basis accepted.
- Preferred knowledge includes building construction and systems operations.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Compensation and Additional Information
