About the Role
Join Egis Road and Tunnel Operation Ireland (ERTO) based at the Tunnel Control Building on East Wall Road, Dublin 3, where you will play a crucial role managing the Dublin Tunnel for Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII). This position demands expertise in mechanical and electrical systems within the tunnel property and includes responsibilities connected to civil engineering when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain primarily electrical and mechanical systems throughout the Dublin Tunnel.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities within the Maintenance Management System, ensuring preventive and corrective maintenance work orders are completed efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Participate in scheduled and incidental tunnel closures as needed.
- Work collaboratively with contractors for various maintenance tasks.
- Support the execution of equipment and system upgrades under capital expenditure projects (CAPEX).
- Lead projects aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, performance, and availability.
- Oversee and coordinate maintenance department projects.
- Provide on-call coverage for maintenance activities outside of regular hours, following a roster system.
- Conduct civil, structural, and environmental inspections as required.
- Follow company standards including ISO 55001:2014, ISO 27001:2013, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, and OHSAS 18001:2004 in all relevant processes and procedures.
- Perform other duties necessary to fulfill the role.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years' experience as a Maintenance Technician.
- Fully qualified electrician with a time-served electrical qualification at minimum.
- Desirable qualifications include knowledge of Medium Voltage (MV), Low Voltage (LV), Life Safety Systems (LSS), and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Preferably holds Leaving Certificate education qualifications.
