Maintenance Technician

Role Overview

An opportunity exists for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a reputable manufacturing company based in County Waterford. This position involves operating within a dynamic production setting, focusing on maintaining and enhancing the efficiency of modern manufacturing machinery while participating in continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct planned preventative maintenance and respond to reactive maintenance needs for production machinery.
• Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues promptly and effectively.
• Collaborate with production teams to reduce equipment downtime and optimize plant operations.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability.
• Ensure accurate maintenance records are kept and adhere to health and safety protocols.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment when necessary.

Candidate Profile

• Qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter, Electrician, or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or comparable production sectors.
• Proficient fault diagnosis skills in mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting is a plus.
• Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, conveyors, and automated machinery.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts.
