Maintenance Service Professional

About the Role

This position, based in Jacksonville, FL, is for a Maintenance Service Professional responsible for performing minor repairs and preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial equipment, primarily within large retail environments. The role may also include facility maintenance duties and refrigerant removal for recycling in certain markets. The technician operates various equipment such as paint shakers, blind cutting machines, mobility carts, power stock lifts, and performs light construction repairs including carpentry, painting, basic electrical and plumbing tasks.

Key Duties

• Document all maintenance and repairs accurately using company technology, including labor and parts usage.
• Manage parts inventory and vehicle stock replenishment responsibly.
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Adhere strictly to safety and compliance standards set by the company and legal regulations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, minor repairs, troubleshooting, and replacement of small parts on industrial equipment.
• Travel between multiple store locations within a reasonable distance, utilizing a company vehicle; occasional overnight travel required (5%-20%).

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Work is performed indoors and outdoors with exposure to noise, fumes, temperature extremes, and moving machinery.
• Physical activities include walking, standing, stooping, climbing up to 20 feet, and lifting materials up to 80 pounds.
• Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Candidate Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must reside within 20 miles of Jacksonville, FL.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required with ability to pass motor vehicle record review.
• Basic mechanical skills, customer service aptitude, and proficiency using electronic devices such as tablets, smartphones, or laptops.
• Willingness to acquire EPA 608 certification and perform refrigerant recycling duties.
• Preferred but not mandatory: knowledge of Microsoft Office, basic electrical skills, ability to read schematics and parts lists, and two years of related maintenance experience.

Schedule & Reporting

• Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
• Reports to the Market Supervisor or Regional Equipment Services Manager.
