Cashier

Position Overview

The role of a Cashier is essential in delivering prompt, courteous, and precise service to customers. Responsibilities include managing checkout and return transactions efficiently, along with overseeing the Self-Checkout area to ensure smooth operations.

Key Duties

• Process customer purchases and returns accurately and swiftly.
• Supervise and maintain the Self-Checkout area, ensuring it functions properly.
• Continuously enhance product and project knowledge to assist customers effectively and identify sales opportunities.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures to reduce shrinkage and loss.

Head Cashier Role

• Allocate and organize Cashier positions during shifts.
• Support Cashiers by facilitating price checks and approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns across various registers and service points including mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
• Serve as the initial point of escalation for customer concerns.
• Assist in supervising, coaching, and training Front End Associates by actively participating in onboarding new Cashiers and utilizing all tools available to promote Cashier development.

Preferred Qualification

Candidates with at least one year of experience as a Cashier are preferred for the Head Cashier position.
