Maintenance Engineer - Diffusion Furnace

Role Summary

The Equipment Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for sustaining, enhancing, and optimizing production equipment and related systems to maintain high levels of availability, reliability, safety, and operational excellence. This role demands troubleshooting expertise, leadership in maintenance practices, and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Duties

• Maintain and improve manufacturing equipment performance and uptime.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment failures, downtime, and process issues efficiently.
• Analyze data to identify root causes of repetitive equipment problems.
• Develop and execute corrective and preventive maintenance actions.
• Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, relocation, and qualification procedures.
• Work jointly with production, maintenance, quality, process, and industrial teams.
• Participate in spare parts strategy development and maintenance scheduling.
• Support upgrades, modifications, and manage equipment obsolescence.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare technical documentation including procedures, reports, and proposals for improvements.
• Contribute to projects aimed at improving yield, cycle time, overall equipment effectiveness, and cost reductions.
• Mentor and provide guidance to technicians and junior engineers as needed.

Qualifications

Mandatory:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in equipment engineering and maintenance.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Sound understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or automation systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a production environment.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• Background in semiconductor, electronic, or high-volume manufacturing sectors.
• Experience with TEL Furnace or Diffusion Furnace maintenance is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with real-time equipment performance monitoring using sensors and microcontrollers like STM32 or Raspberry Pi in Fault Detection Control systems.
• Knowledge of equipment qualification, preventive maintenance, and reliability improvement tools.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.
• Experience with statistical analysis and root cause methodologies.
