Maintenance Custodian Associate

Role Overview

As a Maintenance Custodian Associate, you will play a critical role in shaping the overall experience of store members by ensuring a clean, safe, and inviting shopping environment. This involves maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the parking lot, restrooms, floors, and other facility areas. The role requires constant mobility and physical stamina, paired with a positive attitude to enhance customer impressions from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the safety of the facility by adhering to all specified safety procedures, including conducting safety checks, using forklifts correctly, handling hazardous materials properly, and reporting unsafe conditions to management.
• Perform thorough cleaning of all facility zones such as floors, windows, restrooms, and trash receptacles following company-approved methods and using designated chemicals and tools.
• Respond promptly to spills and other maintenance needs, operate floor cleaning machines, and manage waste disposal—cardboard, plastic, and other trash—according to the company’s sustainability policies.
• Manage inventory levels of approved cleaning chemicals and supplies, ensuring proper storage and timely replenishment through ordering.
• Maintain a positive and proactive approach to work, focusing on member satisfaction and adapting swiftly to changing environments and tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage for this role ranges from $16.00 to $24.00, with the actual pay equal to or exceeding the minimum wage requirements of the job location. Additional premiums between $0.35 and $3.00 per hour may apply based on schedule, location, season, or specific tasks performed.
