Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer specialized in large-scale recommendation systems to contribute to building the next-generation social media platform. You will take ownership of essential parts of our recommendation infrastructure, including recall, ranking, click-through rate (CTR) modeling, and multi-objective optimization to enhance user retention, engagement, and sustainable ecosystem growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable recommendation system pipelines.
• Create and refine CTR and CVR prediction models.
• Enhance multi-objective ranking methods balancing retention, monetization, diversity, and long-term value.
• Address challenges related to onboarding new users and fresh content.
• Conduct offline experiments and online A/B tests to achieve measurable improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and monetization teams.
• Continuously optimize model accuracy, latency, and system robustness.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years experience constructing production-level machine learning systems.
• Strong practical knowledge of recommendation algorithms.
• Expertise in one or more areas: recall systems, candidate generation, ranking models, CTR prediction, or multi-task/multi-objective optimization.
• Proficient with Python and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with large-scale data architectures and distributed training is advantageous.
• Demonstrated success improving retention or long-term user value is highly desirable.
