About The Role
The Full Stack Developer will contribute to Gist, a new consumer social app built by AppLovin, working on web applications, embedded web experiences, and lightweight mini games that animate our product.
Your responsibilities will span frontend interfaces and backend services, building fast, reliable, and user-friendly features spanning responsive web pages, mobile WebView integrations, and interactive games.
You’ll oversee features from conception to launch, collaborate closely with product and design, and engage with larger projects under guidance from senior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive web applications with HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, using modern frontend frameworks.
- Create web experiences optimized for mobile WebViews across various devices and platforms.
- Build and integrate lightweight mini games and interactive features, including their supporting backend services.
- Develop backend APIs and database connections powering product functionality.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and mobile teams to translate requirements into features and ensure smooth releases.
- Enhance overall product performance, stability, and user experience across platforms.
- Write clear, testable, maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot frontend and backend issues.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of professional software engineering experience with both frontend and backend development.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript, including responsive design and browser compatibility.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks like React or Vue.
- Proficiency in backend development using at least one programming language, API development, plus working with relational or NoSQL databases.
- Capability to independently deliver smaller features and collaborate on larger projects.
- Approach coding with care for debugging, testing, maintainability, and clarity.
- Comfort working cross-functionally with engineers, product owners, and designers, asking early questions and ensuring delivery.
- Attention to detail to create intuitive and responsive consumer-facing products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with cross-platform web apps, mini apps, or embedded web experiences.
- Knowledge of mobile WebViews, bridging web content with native apps, and platform SDK integrations.
- Background creating HTML5 games or browser interactive experiences using Canvas, WebGL, or game frameworks.
- Familiarity with product analytics, feature experimentation, or consumer application ecosystems.
- Experience utilizing AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, with strong validation and review practices.
