Overview
AIR Sligo, part of the international AIR Group, specializes in custom automation solutions for top-tier manufacturing clients worldwide since 2005. We're inviting a skilled professional to join our expert team working on innovative, technically demanding projects.
Primary Role
The selected candidate will be responsible for the assembly and debugging of machines, ensuring precise mechanical and electrical execution throughout the build process and before shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and debug custom automated assembly machinery from detailed mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Update and mark electrical and mechanical schematics as designs evolve during builds.
- Perform electrical field wiring and control panel wiring if qualified.
- Install equipment on client sites as required.
- Meet all project timelines and delivery targets.
- Ensure compliance with GMP standards and company safety protocols.
- Manage machine build materials and maintain adequate stock levels of components such as screws and profiles.
- Contribute to workshop upkeep, including tool maintenance and tidying.
- Conduct quality and pre-delivery inspections and produce machine manuals.
- Carry out minor machining tasks like milling and drilling.
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience in machine building, automation, or similar technical roles.
- Welding skills are an advantage.
- Strong ownership mentality with a record of delivering project commitments.
- High attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
- Self-driven with initiative, problem-solving skills, and innovative thinking.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team while managing personal responsibilities effectively.
