About The Role
The role of Lot Associate involves assisting customers by loading their purchases into their vehicles and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming parking lot area. This position plays a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service by being one of the first and last points of contact for customers at the store.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to the company's customer service approach by greeting, engaging, and thanking customers following the GET Model.
- Ensure that an ample supply of shopping carts is available at the store entrance.
- Engage with customers by asking open-ended questions to understand their project needs and level of expertise.
- Offer assistance in loading products into customers' vehicles or carts efficiently and safely.
- Plan and implement the safest and most effective way of loading and securing merchandise according to Safe Loading Training standards.
- Maintain safety and security by keeping exits and loading areas clear and clean, including sweeping debris from front and lumber loading areas.
- Follow all safety and loss prevention protocols and operate equipment using proper safety procedures.

- Exposure to varying weather conditions frequently while loading and unloading products outdoors.
- Indoor environment with open doors causing drafts and variations in temperature.
- Physical requirements include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Between 1 and 2 years of retail experience preferred.
