Job description
Role Overview
The Logistics Support Specialist will operate within DHL Global Forwarding's implant team at the customer's site located in Leixlip, Kildare. This position is focused on managing inbound and outbound logistics traffic, ensuring compliance with customer service standards and operational guidelines, and delivering top-notch customer service while working in a high-security environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage all inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate traffic reports and proof of delivery documentation.
- Communicate promptly and transparently about any logistical delays, early arrivals, or shipment damages to the onsite customer.
- Support operations by adhering strictly to customer Service Level Agreements, safety, security, and standard operating procedures on site.
- Participate in customer safety programs, including Good Catch and Safety meetings related to dock operations and powered industrial trucks.
- Assist Ireland Logistics in implementing Lean initiatives and driving cost-saving measures.
- Maintain key performance indicator reports and other customer-requested documentation.
- Coordinate with manufacturing planning and testing teams through systems like PROSPAL and reticle tracker to optimize factory processes.
- Manage critical shipments using prioritization tools such as CNW and Time Matters and facilitate relationships with suppliers, customs, and vendors to resolve shipment issues swiftly.
- Arrange transportation for inbound shipments and manage logistics for trade show collections to and from destinations.
- Act as the gatekeeper for electronic parts on time-critical shipments.
- Attend meetings related to materials and operations to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Ensure compliance with revenue laws, international trade regulations, data protection rules, and internal company policies relating to health, safety, quality, environment, and human resources.
- Implement operational procedures aligned with Good Distribution Practice standards for life sciences, where applicable.

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a logistics role with direct customer interaction.
- Educational attainment of the Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Additional Information
- This position operates on a five days over two shift pattern roster from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- The role reports directly to the On Site Client Shipping Co-Ordinator with a dotted line to the Head of Community Implants.
