Job Purpose and Responsibilities
- Implement and manage pricing execution according to set standards and instructions.
- Aggregate bid inputs to formulate comprehensive country-level pricing responses.
- Perform pricing tasks across countries including campaigns, factor-based pricing, and setting internal rates.
- Support the execution of local commercial AFR strategies, such as maintaining campaign rate tables.
- Initiate risk-taking procedures including escalation to management as required.
- Maintain and update 'Country ACC tariffs.'
- Drive competitive pricing frameworks to maximize profitability for AFR forwarding services.
- Assist sales growth by providing appropriate pricing solutions and following up on sales requests.
- Respond to pricing inquiries and bids from global and regional business teams with accuracy and timeliness.
- Qualify bids received and develop strategic bid responses on a country level.
- Escalate decision-making needs for risk management through appropriate hierarchy channels.
- Ensure full compliance with company pricing regulations and standards.
- Serve as an AFR subject matter expert at trainings, customer meetings, and local AFR conferences.
- Collaborate with sales teams to engage customers effectively.
- Consistently model and uphold DHL’s core values in all activities.

- Extensive knowledge of AFR forwarding business operations.
- Strong understanding of global logistics and geography.
- Proven project management skills capable of handling multiple bids simultaneously.
- Exceptional analytical abilities combined with effective communication skills.
- Commercial acumen and experience.
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving mindset focused on results.
- Excellent attention to detail and negotiation capabilities.
- Educational qualification: Matric certificate or Diploma.
