About the Role

Join Star Construction LLC as a Locator and play a crucial part in identifying underground utilities by marking them with flags and paint, contributing to the safety and efficiency of various projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Use detection tools to locate and mark subterranean utilities, consulting experienced Locators as necessary.
• Interpret utility diagrams to accurately find underground infrastructures.
• Keep detailed records of all located utilities.
• Respond promptly and professionally to excavation requests.
• Maintain effective communication with excavators, utility representatives, and company personnel.
• Perform light digging with a shovel when required.
• Be available for overtime, travel, and on-call or after-hours duties when needed.
• Conduct work in varying weather conditions.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States for this employer.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Valid non-provisional state driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Demands

• Regularly expected to work independently in isolated locations, perform tasks involving arm elevation above shoulder height, operate a vehicle, use fine motor skills, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, and use computer peripherals.
• Occasional duties include climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and stair climbing.
